Champagne Mixing

Happy New Year’s Day! Today marks the first day of 2015, and we think that calls for a toast — champagne toast to be specific. You probably had a classic glass of champagne (or two, or three) while celebrating New Year’s Eve last night; so today, why not mix it up a little? Here are just a few ways to change up your classic champagne.
Hint: You can use these quick and easy concoctions at your wedding, too!

1. Bellini: Mix two ounces of peach juice or leah puree with four ounces of champagne. Om nom nom.

2. Mimosa: Mix equal parts orange juice with your preferred champagne. Mmm…

3. Kir Royale: Pour 1.4 ounce of creme de cassis into the glass, then fill with champagne.  Clink!

4. Barbotage: Mix 1/2 an ounce of brandy with a teaspoon of Grand Marnier, then add champagne. Yum…

5. Black Velvet: Mix equal parts Guiness Extra Stout with your favorite champagne. Cheers!

Tip: add garnish to the glass, or frozen fruit as ice cubes. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even make ice cubes with flower petals in them!
