5 things you need to jump start the gym

 

 

 
The New year comes with tons' of resolutions that we *promise* ourselves we’ll keep. "I am going to eat better", "I will workout more", "I will complete my first 5k"... sound a little too familiar? Yep, we've been there too. Since these rezzies can be super tough to stick with, we've rounded up five easy ways get ya off your butt and jump start that gym routine like a boss.


Get in healthy eating mode
Not all the work happens in the gym, make sure your giving your bod what it needs from the kitchen, too. Say bye-bye to the sweets and go for the greens. You don’t need to completely cut out dessert, but try to limit what you eat and you’ll be feeling energized in no time.

Rock those new gym clothes
We’ll be the first to admit that getting new workout clothes is a major motivator. There are few things that are better than going to the gym in a new workout shirt and hitting the weights. So, rock that new gear and be ready to become the star of the gym!

Create a vision board
Sure, there will be days that you’d rather do anything than get up and moving. By creating a workout inspo board on Pinterest by putting together your fave workouts, fitness quotes and music you’ll be able to get yourself moving on even the laziest of days.

Partners Together
Do you and one of your BFFs have similar rezzies? Partner up and tackle our goals together. Having someone by your side will motivate you to push through the hard times and will giva ya a great accountability partner (that way, when you’re not together, you’ll still grab a bowl of salad instead of bread).

Journal it
Write what workouts you are doing and what you are eating so when you’re feeling down you can look back at how far you’ve come. This is also a great way at setting small goals for yourself. You will be setting yourself responsible for accomplishing your goals by needing to write them down.
